"What if I cannot stay focused and be productive?"
Working from home was once a fair-tail. Due to the internet, computer technology, and pandemic, remote working is more convenient than ever.
You no longer need to handle long commutes. Flexible schedule and location independence are your new work style.
However, soon you find out it is a nightmare. The deep work
, privacy, and productive tasks turn into social media, online shopping, video games, youtube, and other distractions
.Nothing gets done.
Lack of progress, underperform, time-wasting. Isn't that every high achiever's worst nightmare?
Let's hold on for a second and imagine the alternative.
What if you could concentrate on doing the most important work, where and whenever you are?
If you could stay focused, you could spend the best of your time and mental energy
on achieving things that matter.
You could stop kicking yourself for spending hours on mindless internet browsing.
You could stop checking email every five minutes.
You could stop beating yourself up for spending a day unproductively.
You could kick your daily distractions to the curb and get things done.
You might even achieve the magical flow state, being in the zone,
mentally free to work on your task, with no distraction thoughts.
Imagine the great feeling of accomplishing so much more in less time.
While feeling proud of yourself, you wonder what happened. How can I be productive like this again?
What if it is more than magic? What if it was repeatable?
How can you stay focused and get things done consistently?
When starting out a workday, the first thing you do is often the first thing that comes to your mind or the most tempting thing at the moment.
But achievement is your goal. You are not doing for the sake of doing.
You cannot accomplish things unless you prioritize and develop intensive focus.
It is a skill.
The best way to improve a skill is to practice deliberately and consistently.
Being able to stay focused is an essential skill for your success.
To be more productive, you must be aware of this skill and train your brain to focus better. If you apply the Kaizen philosophy (constant and never-ending improvement), you will be surprised by how much more productive you can become in a relatively short period.
After you cultivate the skill of staying focused, everything becomes so much easier.
You can get the most important tasks done within couple hours, then do whatever fun things you want to do without guilt.
You can redirect the energy often poured into social media and wander into ticking your to-do items smoothly and effortlessly.
Stay focused, be productive, and connect with others by joining Space4
Here is how it work:
⭐️ Start from small
In the beginning, you can set a small goal on how long you want to stay focused for each session. Once you feel comfortable, then set the bar higher. Do not let the goal constrain your practice. If you are in the flow state, keep going. If you want to take a break, you can pause the session. Do not feel guilty about how much time you spend on staying focused. As long as you do it, progress is made.
⭐️ Sounds for your brain
Generally, noises are considered a hazardous distraction in the workplace. However, it is also difficult to concentrate in an environment with complete silence and quietness. According to Dr. Andrew Huberman
, a neuroscientist, and professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, a low level of white noise, is an invaluable tool to enhance brain states for learning and cognitive performance. Other scientific studies have also found that white noises can improve the ability of the brain to concentrate. And some ambient noises, such as one found in a coffee shop, can foster creativity. In Space4, you can have both by simply toggling the sound buttons in the room.

⭐️ One task at a time
Imagine you were asked to build a house by hand. It will seem daunting at first. However, if you focus on the task at hand, less on distracting thoughts, and start to lay the brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid, soon you will have a wall. If you do that day after day, soon you will have a house. In each work session, you will be asked to enter a single task you want to work on. It helps you to focus on doing one thing at a time. Once done, you click the item cross it. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and a dose of healthy dopamine. So you will be encouraged to work on the next task.
⭐️ Motivation by progress.
Work sessions will be recorded. You will see how many productive hours have been spent. You will also gain insights into how you might be able to make the best of your time by using data visualization.
⭐️ Surround yourself with like-minded people
Social facilitation is a theory in which people can enhance their task performance simply by being present with other people. You can work better with other people, or when other people are around than when you are working by yourself alone. This explains why you are often more productive in public places like coffee shops rather than at home. In Space4, you can share who you are and how you want to be connected. People working in the same space will also show up on your screen to encourage you. We hope that people can achieve a better version of themselves and regain a sense of reality and humanity by connecting and supporting each other.
